Cameroon coaching disruption (15.08.2007)
Cameroon`s search for a new football coach continues, after the country`s Minister of Communications cancelled a planned news conference, which had been called to name him.
The conference had been scheduled by the sports ministry, but was postponed on the orders of the Presidency, because the government and the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot, have still not agreed on their preferred candidate.
The search for a new coach has attracted a vast list of applicants - reaching 78 names, according to the Fecafoot website.
Amongst the names in the frame are the current stand-in boss, Jules Nyongha, who is likely to be in charge for the Indomitable Lions next game - against Japan on August 22nd - whatever happens.
Nyongha has already secured Cameroon`s place at next year`s Nations Cup in Ghana, but

despite that feat, he seems unlikely to hold on to the job.
Cameroon`s search for a new coach began when Arie Haan quit the post
The former Togo coach, Germany`s Otto Pfister, is also listed, as is the current coach of Uganda, Hungary`s Laszlo Csaba.
And the Frenchman Phillipe Troussier, who has coached Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Japan, amongst others, is also in the frame.
Another surprise name on the list is the former coach of the Indomitable Lions Artur Jorge, who quit the job after they were knocked out of last year`s Nations Cup at the quarter final stage.
Following Tuesday`s delayed announcement, its not clear when the appointment will be made.
The search for a new coach began when the Dutchman Arie Haan quit the post in February, just 6 months in to a two year contract.
