Cameroon recall 2 defenders for African Nations qualifier (04.09.2007)
YAOUNDE (Reuters) - Cameroon have recalled defenders Benoit Angbwa and Jean-Hugues Bilayi Ateba for their final African Nations Cup qualifier away to Equatorial Guinea in Malabo on September 9.
Coach Jules Nyongha has, however, not named an extra striker after the injury picked up by Samuel Eto`o on Wednesday.
The three-time African Footballer of the Year will be sidelined for at least two months after straining a tendon in his right leg, according to the Spanish league side.
Cameroon, who are due to train in Barcelona next week ahead of the match, have already qualified for January`s African Nations Cup finals in Ghana.
A win in Malabo next weekend would give them a 100 percent record in the qualifying campaign.
