Cameroon prepare for battle
Cameroon have organised two training camps in France, in a bid to revive their flagging World Cup qualification fortunes. Coach Artur Jorge will assemble his players for two separate camps, the first between August 15-18 and the second from 28 August to 2 September.
Both camps will be held in Paris, the French capital, with almost all of Cameroon`s players featuring for European clubs.
The Indomitable Lions must beat the Ivory Coast, Group Three leaders, away in Abidjan when the two sides meet on 4 September.
If the Ivorians win, they will qualify for their maiden World Cup appearance.
"When I took over as coach, we had a five-point deficit behind the Ivory Coast, now it is only two," said Jorge, who took over at the start of the year from the German coach Winfried Schafer.
"For us to go to the World Cup next year we simply have to win in Abidjan, but it`s not going to be easy."
