Idrissou makes his mark
Germany
Cameroon`s Mohammadou Idrissou scored on the stroke of half time in Hanover`s 3-1 home win over Hansa Rostock. It`s the ninth goal of the season for Idrissou, who is beginning to break his way into the Indomitable Lions squad.
Holland
Ivory Coast`s Bonaventure Kalou got on the score sheet in Feyanoord`s thrashing of Excelsor. 6-2 was the final score. Feyanoord remain third in the league behind PSV and Ajax.
Moroccan forward Ali El-Khattabi got the only goal of the game as AZ Alkmaar beat Roda JC 1-0.
Spain
Tunisian Mehdi Nafti scored for Racing Santander, but they were up against the mighty Real Madrid, and ended up 4-1 losers at the Bernabeu.
Belgium
Yet again their were plenty of African goals. Cameroon`s striker Emmanuel Kenmogne scored twice and Young Nigerian striker Menasey Ishiaku once as La Louviere`s beat Beveren 3-0. There was also another double for Congo Kinshasa forward Jean-Paul Gauthier Boeka-Lisasi, which gave his relegation-threatened side Charleroi a 2-1 win over Mons.
Guinea`s Sambegou Bangoura was on target again for Lokeren in their 2-1 win at Standard Liege, while Algeria`s Nasredine Kraouche got Ghent`s second in an easy 3-0 victory over St. Truiden. And Egyptian forward Mohammed El-Yamani scored for KV Mechelen in their 2-0 win over struggling Germinal Beerschot.
Turkey
Genclerbirligi earned a valuable 1-0 win away to Ankaragucu which keeps them in the hunt for the championship. But it came at a cost. Two of their players were sent off, including Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hassan who was shown the red card after 30 minutes.
Nigerian defender Uche Okechukwu scored the winner for Istanbulspor with just four minutes left on the clock in a 2-1 victory over Kocaelispor. The win eases their relegation worries, but leaves Kocaelispor rooted to the bottom.
Greece
There was another sending off here, with Cameroon`s Demba Nyren in trouble after striking one of Kallithea`s players in Aris Salonika`s 2-0 win.
And Jules Domoraud, the younger brother of Ivorian captain Cyril Domoraud, scored for struggling Greek side Giannina, who are fourth from bottom. It was his first goal since moving on loan from France.
