New look junior Lions make good start

Two easy goal in each half was enough for Cameroon’s Under-20 team to punish Tanzania in their Nations Cup qualifier in Yaounde.
The newly built Cameroon team under head coach Lucien Nanga, however, needed 20 minutes to polish their act.
Cameroon maintained a slight edge over Tanzania until that moment when Sadjo Haman volleyed in the curtain raiser. The goal was spectacular enough to galvanise the team.
So seven minutes later Effa Owona launched Emmanuel Nouazi into the box and he fired in the second goal.
The weight of delivering the goods for Tanzania appeared to have been completely put on the shoulders of striker and skipper Fredrick Msambwa. He made great efforts, but was not lucky or sometimes did not get appropriate backing from team mates.
Four minutes after resumption, Pouabe Moutchen moved up front to head in a free kick taken near the left corner by Joseph Ngalle. And a penalty six minutes to time by Ngalle concluded the score-line.
Coach Nanga disagreed with some fans who held it was an easy game. He said : " There is never any easy game. The players were under pressure and we had to manage this pressure first. Luckily we got over it in time to beat our opponents on the technical level of the game. My team was also more athletic than the opponents ".
Nanga’s assistant, Paul Ndanga found some faults in the team which they must correct before the return leg. He said the players were poor in their fall back system. Tanzania had all their chances during such periods.
That may have given hopes to Ernest Gbaar-Mukake, Tanzania’s coach. He said Cameroon were technical not a good team and promised to beat the junior Lions at home. " We’ll give them a very tough time in thge return leg, though they may still qualify for the next round ", Gbaar-Mukake said.
