Played Saturday:
SEVILLA 3 ATHLETIC BILBAO 3
An action-packed game in which the two sides shared the honours after six second-half goals. The Basque side came from behind three times to earn themselves a draw that keeps them in touch with the leaders. Moises Garcia opened for Sevilla on 49 minutes with a deflected volley, but Joseba Etxeberria levelled for the visitors. Jose Antonio Reyes and Ismael Urzaiz then exchanged goals to see the score level again at 2-2. Sevilla looked to have clinched victory as the 18-year-old striker restored his side`s lead, but Santi Ezquerro claimed a deserved injury time equaliser with a fine overhead kick.

TENERIFE 0 REAL MADRID 2
The scoreline disguises a barely deserved victory for Real. The champions took the lead after just 15 minutes when Ivan Helguera scored with a fine angled shot, but then sat back and allowed Tenerife back into the game. It was the islanders who were the better side in the second half, forcing Iker Casillas to make a succession of fine saves to keep his side ahead. Luis Figo struck an injury-time penalty for Real, but it was a far from easy win for Vicente del Bosque`s side.
