Olisadebe denies fallout with Panathinaikos
ATHENS,
Panathinaikos striker Emmanuel Olisadebe has denied a rift with his club ahead of their opening Champions League second phase match against Porto on Wednesday.
The Nigerian-born Poland international was left out of the side that won 2-1 at home to Aris Salonika in the domestic league on Sunday.
``I don`t have any problems with Panathinaikos or with (the coach) Mr (Yiannis) Kyrastas,`` Olisadebe told Alpha Digital television.
Olisadebe, who will lead Poland`s attack at next year`s World Cup finals, was last week short-listed for the European Footballer of the Year award.
But he has struggled to win a starting place at club level this season.
``I haven`t decided yet whether I will stay or whether I will leave in the summer,`` he added. ``We`ll see. For now, I am very happy.``
Olisadebe is expected to be recalled to partner Michalis Konstantinou in attack for the group C game against Portugal`s Porto.
Poland`s top scorer in World Cup qualification, the striker has scored goals in his last two Champions League outings against Arsenal and Schalke 04.
Panathinaikos signed Olisadebe from Polonia Warsaw last December for an undisclosed fee.
