Fovu join Racing as leaders in Super League

Thanks to their brilliant 2-0 win over Canon in Yaounde, Fovu Baham count 8 points on top of the Super League, just like Racing who pulled a virgin tie against Sable Batie.
Until day four actions on Sunday only Racing Bafoussam enjoyed the privilege of holding the command baton. That may not also last again as both leaders are just one point adrift of Coton Sport Garoua who beat visiting Bamboutos Mbouda 1-0.
Fovu’s win leaves Canon on the last but one position of the table with 3 points, just like sable. Tonnerre stay last with a single point after losing again, this time 1-2 to Union Douala.
That victory re-launches the hopes of Union to take a title this season as they join Coton Sport at runners up position.
Meantime, Kadji Sport Academy have settled on the leadership position in the National League following their third win. They tore apart Dang University 4-0 to total 9 points, two ahead of PWD Bamenda who have demonstrated great strength of late.
Playing in Limbe, PWD edged Victoria United 1-0 to climb onto the second position. Victoria are third, but with 7 points like PWD. It was PWD’s second consecutive win in four days of action.
The derby between Botafogo AFC Buea and Mount Cameroon left fans happy with a diplomatic 0-0 draw. Both clubs stay in the middle of the table. At the bottom of the National League is Unisport Bafang who lost 0-1 to Esperance Guider. Esperance have 4 points, one above Unisport.
