Joseph wants English Job
Former Middlesbrough striker Joseph-Desire Job has exclusively told setanta.com that he has his heart set on a return to England.
The Cameroon international is keen to move on from French club Sedan after their relegation from Ligue 1, and has been linked with a move to ambitious Leicester City.
Job scored nine goals despite his side`s demotion last season, and feels he has earned the chance to try and again prove his worth in England where he scored 17 goals in 93 league appearances for Boro.
"I am still under contract for one more season with Sedan," Job told setanta.com.
"Honestly, I want to leave. I think I did pretty well last season, in spite of Sedan`s relegation, so I don`t want to play Ligue 2 football.
"It seems normal and legitimate to me to ask for a transfer. England is a priority.
"For the moment, the approaches have been vague, but I remain optimistic."
Leicester have targeted Job as manager Martin Allen looks to construct a team capable of challenging for promotion to the Premier League next season, and if the Cameroon striker arrives at the Walkers Stadium he could become the club`s 11th signing of the summer.
Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric confirmed last week that talks were ongoing with Job`s representatives.
"We are working on this," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury. "We have made an offer to him and we hope we can sort it out in the next two or three days.
"He is just the sort of striker we have been looking for. He is strong physically, and he knows English football well from his time at Middlesbrough.
"He has experience of football in the Premiership which is where we are trying to lift this club back up to.``
