Middlesbrough target Geremi commits to Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Geremi insists he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge.

The Cameroon international has been linked with a return to Middlesbrough, but told Chelsea TV: "The important thing is to be there now the manager knows my situation. I had a word with him and he said he needed me and that is why I`m still here.

"It means a lot for a player who is not playing because you lose everything.

"The last two months [of last season] I started to be happy because I was playing. I didn`t want to be at Chelsea just to earn money. I`m here to play and to try to help the team win some titles.

"The last two months I was very happy because I was playing and the team was winning.

"I have got all this confidence and now I`m trying to train well to get fit."
