Le Camerounais Gérémi élu capitaine à Newcastle club en Angleterre
YAOUNDE, (XINHUA) -- L`international camerounais Gérémi Sorel Ndjitap, nouveau recrut de Newcastle club de la première league anglaise, a été choisi comme capitaine de son club pour la nouvelle saision qui a commencé le week-end, a rapporté lundi la radio nationale camerounaise.
Selon le manager du club Sam Allardyce cité par la radio, Géremi a "une longue et illustre carrière et cela a été une belle capture pour nous".
Géremi Sorel Ndjitap, vice-capitaine des Lions Indomptables du Cameroun, devient ainsi le tout premier étranger à porter le brassard de capitaine de ce club en plein temps.
Il rejoint ainsi dans le palmarès des joueurs camerounais ayant porté le brassard de capitaine dans un club européen, comme Bell Joseph Antoine à Marseille, Rigobert Song à Lens, tous club français.
La première sortie de l`ex-sociétaire de Chelsea en tant que capitaine, s`est avérée tout aussi heureuse puisque son nouveau club Newcastle, a remporté son premier match de championnat face à Bolton par le score de 3 buts à 1.
