Kameni emerges as Manchester United target
Carlos Kameni has emerged as a top target for Manchester United Football Club.
Reports suggest the Premier League champions have been monitoring the goalkeeper for much of the season, with Sir Alex Ferguson sending his brother to Spain at the weekend to make a personal check on the player.
The Cameroon international, who has won 32 caps for his country, is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in La Liga, yet his contract with Espanyol is set to expire at the end of next season.
And although the Catalonian club are desperate to him to a new deal, Kameni has a long interest in playing in England, and he almost moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2003 only for work permit problems to scupper the move.
However, he would have no such problems on that front this time round, and were Ferguson to make his interest in the 24-year-old concrete, a move to Old Trafford could well be in the pipeline.
