More than £750,000 will be paid to Nigeria`s World Cup team if they reach the finals of the tournament, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has said.
"We arrived at a bonus structure following a chat with the entire team before their departure to Japan," NFA secretary-general Taiwo Ogunjobi told BBC Sport Online.
Players could earn up to £38,000 each.
Just over £4,000 would be paid to each player for every first round match won, while a second round victory is worth $5,000.
A victory in the quarter-final will be rewarded with £5,500 and £7,000 is on offer for a semi-final triumph.
Each member of the 23-man squad will receive £8,300 if the team reach the finals of the tournament.
During the World Cup`s African qualifying series, the players got £3,500 per win.
Largely made up of overseas-based players, Nigeria`s team has a history of pay disputes before and during major
tournaments.
Previous problems
There were huge arguments over bonuses and allowances during the Super Eagles 1994 and `98 World Cup outings.
At the last African Nations Cup tournament in Mali, players protested against the non-payment of air fares.
But Ogunjobi insists that such disputes are a thing of the past.
"Everyone is happy and we don`t think there will be money problems at this World Cup," Ogunjobi insists.
Nigeria start their World Cup campaign against Argentina on 2 June.
Meanwhile, a local newspaper has reported that a London based Nigerian businessman has promised the Super Eagles a personal cash reward of £275,000 should they reach the World Cup final.
The pledge was made at a reception held for the team in London, after Nigeria`s 1-0 win over Jamaica.
On both occasions that the Super Eagles have played in the World Cup, they made second round exits.
