Indomitable Lions stay PUMA outfit flag bearers (25.01.2004)

Like during the African Nations Cup finals two years ago, the Indomitable Lions will be wearing a newly designed outfit this year in Tunisia. The new outfits were displayed during a special press conference at the Renaissance Hotel at the outskirts of Tunis, organized by their makers, PUMA.
This time the jerseys will keep their sleeves, but will remain tight fitting and collarless. The very new thing is that the short and the jersey are joined as one piece, making the wearer appear like a cyclist.
No football team has ever had such outfits, not even the other two teams - Egypt and Tunisia - who are also dressed by PUMA. Their own outfits were also presented during the colourful commercial ceremony.
Cameroon`s outfit charmed the audience who are now waiting to see how it will be on the body of the players and give them that robust built they have always
portrayed.
Skipper Rigobert Song, Samuel Eto`o Fils, Eric Djemba Djemba, Bill Tchato, head coach Winnie Schaefer and FECAFOOT president Iya Mohammed were present during a press briefing that preceded that presentation of the outfit.
Song who took most of the questions assured fans that they were going to offer their best to beat the challenges. Song was glad that the game is progressing in Africa as every Nations Cup brings in new names.
Schaefer said his team had good and experienced players whom he should use properly. He added : I think we can reach the semi finals, but let us win the first game first .
President Iya Mohammed sounded very confident: Thanks to our strong will, long and rich experience, good quality players, efficient technical staff, quality of preparation and huge support from fans, I think we`ll certainly reach our goal .
