Leeds manager Peter Reid has continued his squad rebuilding at Elland Road by signing Marseille midfielder Salomon Olembe on a season-long loan deal.
The initial agreement is that the 22-year-old Cameroon international, who signed after passing a medical, will spend the rest of the season with the club but Leeds have first option to buy the player at any time.
"He´s one of those players in the middle of the park who can handle the football with quick feet and can get about," said Reid.
"If we get a few injuries or suspensions
we´re down to the bare bones.
"It´s another body in there and in certain games where I want to change the formation he´s one of the players you look to in that situation.
"I´ve seen him once or twice and he is a really good player," he told the club´s official website.
Reid is hoping to extend his squad further by bringing in Cyril Chapuis on loan until the end of the season.
The striker arrived in Leeds on Saturday and the manager is hopeful a deal can be struck ahead of Monday´s 1700 BST transfer deadline.
