English league side Sheffield United will give defender Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe a week to prove his worth at Bramall Lane.
The trialist scored Celtic`s Scottish Cup final winner in May, but his loan move from Rennes has not been converted into a permanent transfer.
United boss Bryan Robson has given the Cameroonian until 14 July to impress and earn himself a permanent move.
Doumbe,
28,is believed to be keen to extend his stay in British football.
He won a place in the Celtic first team during the closing month of last season, making five appearances and grabbing the scrappy goal which secured the Scottish Cup victory against Dunfermline at Hampden.
Perrier-Doumbe is thought to be available on a free transfer and the Blades will observe his qualities and fitness in training.
