The Super Eagles build-up for the African Nations Cup is facing a set-back due to a row over bonuses.
The players refused to travel to Cairo for a warm-up against Egypt and the game was cancelled.
Another warm-up against Ivory Coast on January 12 is also in doubt.
"The team refused to make the trip, saying the issue of bonuses for both friendlies must be settled," said Nigeria FA acting secretary Patrick Okpomo.
"There`s also the issue of their flight expenses from Europe to Lagos for the Nations Cup training," he told BBC Sport Online.
He added that the players also want their share of the 70,000 dollars donated by state governments and individuals to the team after qualifying for the World Cup.

Nigerian media reports said sports minister Ishaya Mark Aku has promised to meet the players` demands on January 9.
Bonus scheme
Pay disputes are common between the Nigerian players and officials.
The high-profile stars, who play for top overseas clubs, often accuse the officials of short-changing them.
In turn, the officials say the players are unpatriotic and greedy.
In November, the Nigeria FA devised a Nations Cup bonus scheme to forestall any pay row during the tournament.
The scheme states that each player will be entitled to $30,000 if the team wins the trophy.
Nigeria are drawn against Mali, Liberia and Algeria for the first round group matches.
