Tottenham have signed Cameroon international Thimothee Atouba from Swiss champions Basle.
The 22-year-old, who has played 12 times for his country, can play as a left-sided defender or midfielder.
"Thimothee is a
strong, versatile player," said Spurs sporting director Frank Arnesen.
"He comes to us from Basel where he has gained experience of playing in the Champions League and we are delighted he will be with us for the new season."
