Portsmouth Rodolph Douala says he wants his season-long loan at Fratton Park terminated this month. The Cameroonian winger has played just four times since joining from Sporting Lisbon in August, and is looking for a swift exit.
The 28-year-old has also been slowed down by a hamstring injury, playing virtually no part in Pompey`s impressive rise up the Premiership table.
"I want to leave and I want that to happen in January," he told A Bola.
"I have nothing
against the club or the people there, but everybody knows I did not want to go to England.
Although he has a year and a half to run on his contract with Sporting, Douala said he did not expect to hang around long at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.
"I don`t think I will go back to Sporting, but I am not even sure of that right now," he said.
eurosport.com revealed back in November that Douala was unsettled at Fratton Park, making the latest news less than surprising.
