Adel Sellemi netted a brace while Riadh Jellasi and Bin Achour also scored as Tunisia snatched a hard-fought victory over Metz on Friday in Vittel, where the Tunisia team are preparing for the World Cup finals.
The victory meant Tunisia ending the goal-scoring drought that had been haunting the team since reaching the World Cup finals, as they had failed to find the net in seven consecutive matches.
The hosts had things moving 11 minutes after kick-off through Morizot, but Sellemi leveled the score in the 43rd minute with a penalty. The 30-year old striker, who plays for Bundesliga side Freiburg, doubled his team`s lead one minute later.
Jager levelled the scores in the 58th minute, but the ous Tunisia hit back twice through Jellasi and Achour, before Skatchenko reduced the arrears for Metz in the last minute.
/>The Tunisians will play against Sedan on May 13 before facing Kuwait on May 17. They end their rehearsals with a clash against World Cup favourites Argentina on May 23 in Japan.
In the meantime, Tunisian French-language newspaper, Le Matin, claimed that chocolate was behind the positive drug test of midfielder Iskandar Souayeh who was ruled out from the World Cup after testing positive for banned substance nadrolone.
The newspaper said that the player had chocolate before the Tunisia`s 0-0 friendly match against Norway last March "without knowing that it contains such substance".
Souyaeh, who plays for Tunisian champions Esperance, is the second key player to be dropped off the team`s squad following the sudden retirement of veteran goalkeeper Chokri El Ouaer who decided to quit before the World Cup citing back problems.
