Fecafoot conducts Interpools’2002 draws (02.10.2002)

This year’s promotion tournament for provincial division two champions, Interpools 2002, will be played in Douala (pool A) and Yaounde (pool B). The provincial champions fighting for admission into division one will begin competing on 19 October.
According to the draws made at Fecafoot’s headquarters, Dynamo Douala, Aigle Dschang, Batafogo FC Buea, PWD Bamenda, the champions from the Far North and Adamawa provinces and the winners of the game between Dragon Yaounde and Etoile d’Esazok in the Centre province, will be play in pool A.
Pool B in Yaounde will host Caiman Douala, Federal Noun, Prisons Buea, CPEM Messamena (East champions), Opep Circle Sportive Garoua, the representatives of the South province and the winners of the match Sosucam Mbandjock versus Renaissance Ngoumou.
Three games will be played each day. The first two teams in each
pool will qualify for the semi-finals from which the winners automatically get division one tickets.
The third and last place for division one will be contested for by the losers of the semi-finals.
The most topically game in day one will be Dynamo Douala versus PWD Bamenda. Both Prisons and Botafogo Buea are exempted from day one action.
To avoid the fraudulent use of players, Fecafoot’s secretary general, Jean Rene Atangana Mballa invited provincial and club authorities to hand in the lists of players before 7 October. After verification, Fecafoot will publish the lists of players qualified to play and there after no petitions on the qualification of any player will be admitted.
The lists will also enable Fecafoot insure the players individually. "If we don’t have the names of players latest 7 October, such players will play without insurance", Atangana Mballa warned.
