Cameroon striker Samuel Eto`o Fils will remain with his Spanish club until the end of the season. The volatile Eto`o had declared on Monday that he was on the verge of walking out on Real Mallorca, who are second from bottom of the Primera Liga.
"My time at Mallorca has come to an end.
"It`s time to go when you don`t have confidence in things," fumed Eto`o in the wake of their 3-1 home defeat to Barcelona on Sunday.
But Mallorca manager Luis Aragones said his subsequent chat with Eto`o had calmed frayed nerves.
"I demanded a meeting with him and asked for some background to his comments.
"We`ve talked and resolved things, until at least June.

"He made inappropriate statements and chose a bad time to do it.
"I told him that if a footballer has a problem, he should have talked to me about it and I would do my best to reach some kind of agreement," Aragones said.
The 65-year-old coach indicated that Eto`o would be sanctioned for his outburst, but refused to disclose the punishment that would be meted out.
"The punishment would have been much worse if he hadn`t apologised," commented Aragones.
"But everyone knows Eto`o. He`s a player who speaks his mind."
Eto`o is expected to play a key role at next year`s Nations Cup finals in Tunisia, where Cameroon will be seeking a third consecutive title.
