Senegal have been awarded Fifa`s annual Best Mover of the Year award following their meteoric rise through the Fifa rankings.
They have moved up 38 places to finish 2002 in 27th position.
Senegal finished as runners-up in the African Nations Cup and reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Korea and Japan.

Although Wales climbed more places than Senegal, they started from a lower position in the rankings, and Fifa`s calculations give more weight to teams higher up the table.
Fifa`s other team award went to Brazil, who top the rankings.
They are the Team of the Year, having been defeated only once in 2002.
