Real Mallorca´s Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto´o Fils walked out of a training session on Thursday, in protest against an order made by his new manager.
Eto´o is said to have been incensed by Portuguese coach Jaime Pacheco´s refusal to let him swap his shorts for tracksuit trousers, after he had complained about the cold weather.
Eto´o is in Birmingham with Mallorca on the club´s 12-day
pre-season tour of England.
The latest dispute could hasten the striker´s departure from the Spanish club.
Eto´o´s impressive form in last season´s Liga campaign has made him the transfer target of several clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Valencia.
The 22-year-old played in the Cameroon team that won the last two African Nations Cups and the gold medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
