Croatian champions Hajduk Split have defended themselves against allegations that they used off-the-pitch violence to attack Real Mallorca players during a Champions League qualifier.
Split defender Igor Stimac says Carlos Domingues kicked him to start trouble in the players` tunnel.
Real Mallorca have complained in a letter to UEFA about their treatment by Hadjuk Split in a Champions League qualifier.
Split players are accused
of attacking Mallorca staff and team members in the layers` tunnel at half time. Former Derby and West Ham defender Stimac is accused of leading an attack on Mallorca players Javier Olaizola and Carlos Domingues. with four security men at the Split stadium in which Mallorca official Damian Amer was punched.
The Spanish club want video evidence to be used by UEFA to punish the Split team who take a 1-0 lead to Spain later this month for the second leg.
