Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni will be disciplined by his club Espanyol after returning late from international duty at the African Cup of Nations.
"He has explained why he was late, but for us he had no justification," Espanyol`s sporting director Cristobal Parralo told the club`s website on Sunday.
"We will apply the club`s internal disciplinary regime."
Espanyol coach Miguel Angel Lotina said he was unhappy with Kameni`s attitude since
Cameroon were knocked out on penalties by Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals on 4 February.
"If he had a problem that was going to delay his return he should have rung me," he said.
"I always give players permission so they can sort out any personal problems.
"But he has made a mistake just at the time when the whole team needs to be committed to the cause.
"Although he has a reason, I made it clear to him that I didn`t like his attitude."
