Former Cameroon international goalkeeper Jacques Songo´o has been released by French club Metz and will return to Deportivo La Coruna.
A veteran of the last four World Cups, he joins the Spanish first division side after spending the past two seasons in France.
Songo´o, who spent five seasons with Deportivo, has signed a one-year deal as third-choice goalkeeper.
He will be behind Spaniard Jose Francisco
Molina and Uruguayan Gustavo Munua in the pecking order.
"I had an offer to stay with Metz but our plan was to come and live in La Coruna.
"Words cannot describe how I felt when I received a call from Deportivo," Songo´o was quoted as saying by the club´s Web site on Saturday.
The 39-year-old won the 2000 Spanish title with Deportivo La Coruna, and a French league Cup title with Metz in 1996.
