Newly-crowned Nigerian club champions Enyimba have been given a prestige friendly against Inter Milan in the comeback match for Brazilian superstar Ronaldo.
Enyimba were last-minute replacements for Senegal, who were due to feature at the San Siro next Sunday (19 August) but have too many problems putting a team together.
Most of the Senegal players are based in the French league, which has already started and the World Cup finalists know they will have enough problems later in the season arranging for full releases.
The match is an "official" comeback for Ronaldo, who has been
sidelined for nearly two years by a double right knee operation to restore a tore tendon.
Ronaldo, twice a Fifa player of the year, will lead Inter`s formidable attack in partnership with Italian international forward Christian Vieri.
Inter officials have not confirmed if Ronaldo is going to play the full match against the team who won Nigeria`s Super League after finishing second in the regular season.
The Brazilian played part of a warm-up game against an amateur team in Bormio ten days ago, but has been sidelined since then by a slight strain, and will not face Real Madrid on Tuesday.
