He`s been sidelined by injury for ten days now and he`s itching to get back in action and help out his team-mates. But he knows he has to be patient and admits, "The Club doctors are doing a great job".
Speaking at the presentation of his new book, "Samuel Eto`o, raza de campeón" (Samuel Eto`o, the stuff of champions), the Barca striker revealed that the doctors would have the last word about his availability for the Malaga game: "It`s in the hands of the doctors".
Slow but sure
According to the medical bulletin issued by the Club on Thursday, "Samuel Eto`o has started
fieldtraining, which is going well. We have scheduled a progressive increase in the workload for the next few training sessions. His adaptation to these will determine his availability for the next match".
Eto`o admitted he would have loved to have played against Getafe: "I was really keen to play, because any player wants to help his team-mates, but in a big club like Barca there`s a great team of doctors and a technical staff that take the decisions. Against Getafe, they took the right decision". However, Eto`o is still hopeful of making the Malaga game though if it can`t be, he assures us he`ll be there in spirit.
