Parma AC demand large fee for Patrick Mboma (02.10.2001)

- English club Blackburn Rovers are reluctant to pay a £500,000 loan fee for Parma AC striker Patrick Mboma, although they are eager to sign the player.
Manager Graeme Souness met Mboma at the weekend to discuss the terms of his arrival
to Blackburn. Despite Parma`s large fee demands, the striker is keen to join Rovers in addition to taking part for Cameroon in the World Cup finals.
Southampton have also been interested in the 30-year-old player.
