Cameroon star Lauren has told BBC Sport Online he does not know if he will play for the Indomitable Lions again.
Lauren and nine other players refused to turn up to Cameroon`s last squad get-together in Germany amid rumours of a rift with national coach Winfried Schafer.
And Lauren confirmed that he is uncertain about his international furture until he has spoken to the team`s management.
"I don`t know if I will return," said the Arsenal right-back.
"We will see in the next couple of months.
"I will talk to the staff and we will see what will happen."
Lauren was critical of Schafer following the team`s poor World Cup showing as they went out in the group stage after self-destructing against Germany.

Lauren remains hurt by the way Cameroon failed to live up to expectations, especially after winning the African Cup on Nations in February 2002.
"We expected to do something different [at the World Cup] but we didn`t," he said.
"It was disappointing."
However, at club level Lauren could not have had a more successful 12 months.
He helped the London club to the Double last season and is even happy at right-back rather than operating in a more familiar forward poisition in midfield.
"I feel good in that position," said Lauren.
"But I will play wherever, whether it is right-back, right midfield, in the middle, I don`t care.
"Playing in the best team is always difficult, so I`ll just keeping going."
