Eric Djemba-Djemba`s agent has admitted that Aston Villa manager David O`Leary is right to fine the player for failing to return to the club.
Christophe Mongai said the Cameroon midfielder, who was at the African Cup of Nations, should have returned to the club after his country lost to Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals on 4 February.
But the player, who went to Cameroon, is expected back at Villa`s Bodymoor Heath training complex on Monday.

"Eric called me on Thursday night and left a message on my phone," Mongai said.
"He told me he was in Cameroon and was flying back to Birmingham on Saturday.
"But he did not say why he had stayed away and I can understand why the Aston Villa manager wants to fine him for this."
Given the club`s lack of midfield options, Djemba-Djemba had a chance to play in Saturday`s English Premiership clash with Newcastle, which they lost 2-1.
