Barcelona striker Samuel Eto`o has launched a scathing attack on Chelsea`s style of play and called for UEFA to hand Asier del Horno a lengthy ban.
Eto`o, who scored the winning goal in Barca`s 2-1 victory in London on Wednesday, also criticised the Stamford Bridge playing surface and claimed there are better pitches in his native Cameroon.
The African Player of the Year said: "Chelsea have less talent than we do. In fact their main tactic seems to be to try to win the ball, give it to their best footballer Frank Lampard, who boots it as far as he can for everyone else to chase after.
"I suppose that`s why the pitch was so horrible and they resorted to intimidation.
"There are many pitches in my country
Cameroon which are in far, far better condition than Chelsea`s."
The 24-year-old Barca hitman went on to condemn del Horno for his crude challenges on Lionel Messi.
He said: "The hard fact is del Horno was trying to put the boot in and intimidate us right from the start.
"He`d already committed one assault on Messi`s knee which should have got him an automatic red well before he actually got sent off.
"I hope he gets handed a ban for tons of matches - that`s what he deserves.
"When he finally did get sent off it was for a lunge at Messi which was not only totally out of order it was totally unnecessary.
"Anyone who says Leo made too much of it didn`t see the stud marks on his knee at the end of the match."
