Cameroon hope to switch their World Cup warm-up match against Argentina on 27 March Belgium.
The match had been scheduled for Marseille but world champions France have a friendly against Scotland in Paris same day.
"Attention will be focused on the match, so negotiations are on for the encounter to take place in Brussels," said Prince Ndoki Mukete, assistant secretary general of Cameroon governing body Fecafoot.
Cameroon coach
Winfried Schafer had said he was doubtful the match would take place in Marseille for reasons of marketing and television coverage.
Other warm-up matches for the African and Olympic champions have been scheduled against Austria in 17 April and Denmark on 17 May.
They will also play a friendly against England on 26 May in Kobe, Japan.
Cameroon month are drawn against Germany, Ireland and Saudi Arabia in the first round World Group.
