     Libya hold Cameroon (18.06.2004)

Libya have held a Cameroon to a goalless draw in their 2006 World Cup qualifying match in Group Three.
The Indomitable Lions domainated most of the match but were unable to find a way past the Libyan goalkeeper El Emmami.

The Libyans were also helped by the Cameroonians inabilty to hit the target with Samuel Eto`o Fils, Geremi and Modeste Mbami all seeing their shots go wide of the goal.

Tarek El Taib was Libya`s best player of the night and troubled the Cameroon defence on several occaisions.

His best chance came following a mix-up between the Cameroon `keeper Idriss

Kameni and his captain Rigobert Song but Taib saw his shot miss the target.

The Libyans best spell of the game in Misrata came in the last ten minutes but even the home crowd couldn`t inspire them to find a goal.

Cameroon now have four points in Group Three after their 2-1 win at home over Benin two weeks ago.

The draw means Libya pick up the first point of their campaign following their 2-0 loss away to the Ivory Coast a fortnight ago.

The other matches in the group are on Sunday with Benin playing host to Sudan and Egypt at home to the Ivory Coast
