LONDON
Manchester City`s Cameroon international midfielder Marc Vivien Foe has been cleared to play at the start of the upcoming English Premiership season.
He had a four-game ban hanging over him from his time at City`s Premiership rivals West Ham.
Foe, on a season-long loan deal with the top-flight new boys from French side Lyon, was sent off in his final game for West Ham against Leeds in May

His ban should have expired last season but he was then in France.
In order to clear the slate City chairman David Bernstein appealed to the Football Association, who have now overturned the ban.
A City spokeswoman said Monday: "The ban has now been quashed after the chairman appealed to the FA."
City, managed by former England boss Kevin Keegan, start their Premiership champaign away to Leeds on August 17.
