The Atlas Lions coach Mohammed Fakhir, however, now has injury worries over striker Jaouad Zairi and defender Abdelsam Ouadou, who were both forced to leave the pitch during the game.
Zimbabwe played the game without
their key striker Benjani Mwaruwari, who was instead making his debut for his new club Portsmouth in the English Premiership.
The win was the second in less than a week for Morocco after they beat the DR Congo 3-0 on Monday.
Morocco open their Group A Nations Cup campaign against the Ivory Coast next Saturday before games against hosts Egypt and Libya.
Zimbabwe, who are in Group D at the tournament, kick off against Senegal on 23 January before games against Nigeria and Ghana.
