On-loan defender Andre Bikey is hopeful that Reading will make his temporary stay at the Madejski Stadium into a permanent transfer in the summer.
The Cameroon international is currently on loan at the Premiership high-flyers until the end of the season from Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
The 22-year-old stopper is keen to stay at the Berkshire club at the end of the season and is hopeful that he has done enough to persuade Royals boss Steve Coppell to make a permanent signing.
"We haven`t spoken about next season for the time being,
but in two or three months I will know what I will be doing next year - if I stay or not," Bikey told the Reading Evening Post.
"But I am optimistic, I think all will be good and I will stay. We are doing well and we are winning matches.
"If it continues like that until the end of the season, I don`t think there is any reason why the manager would not keep me."
Bikey has made 15 appearances for the Royals this season and would be available for around £1.5million.
