Wolves face competition from PSG for the signature of Cameroon international goalkeeper Carlos Kameni. The 19-year-old Le Havre goalkeeper has revealed that he had talks with PSG chairman Francis Graille after Tuesday`s tribute match for Marc Vivien Foe in Lyon.
"It is true we had a talk with Francis Graille but it was really informal," said Kameni. "There is nothing special. It seems a lot of people are attracted by me but I can`t see anything serious."
The youngster, who came to prominence during the
Confederations Cup in France, was on the verge of a switch to Molineux, but the move fell through after he was denied a work permit.
Wolves boss Dave Jones, who has since been granted special permission to sign a goalkeeper on loan given Matt Murray`s injury woes, is expected to revive the deal for Kameni when the transfer window opens in January.
Jones will be encouraged by the Cameroonian`s declaration that despite the informal talks with Graille and interest from other potential suitors, Wolves remain his preferred choice.
