Eto`o planning to play again in early November (26.09.2007)
Madrid - Samuel Eto`o is planning to be back in action for Barcelona in early November. According to the digital versions of Marca and Sport on Wednesday, the Cameroon striker hopes to be playing again within five weeks.
Eto`o tore the anterior rectum muscle in his right thigh playing for Barca against Inter Milan in late August. He was operated upon by doctor Cugat on September 1 and it was feared then that he could be out for up to four months.
However, his
rehabilitation seems to have gone better than expected. The forward is hoping to be training with his team-mates within three weeks, and is planning to reappear in the Camp Nou for the Champions League clash against Glasgow Rangers on November 7.
Eto`o is also planning to play for Cameroon in the African Nations Cup this winter, which Barcelona might have misgivings about given his doubtful physical condition.
