Ghana and Morocco played to a dull goalless draw in their opening group B match in Segou on Monday to leave all four teams level on one point each.
In a game which failed to gain any momentum, the more experienced Moroccans were the better team but failed to capitalize on their chances.
On the two occasions they did shoot on target, Ghanaian goalkeeper Sammy Adjei acrobatically denied the North Africans with superb saves.
After taking the initiative early in the game when Michael Essien shot wide, it was the Atlas Lions who took control of the midfield through Youssef Chippo and Adel Ramzi.

Ramzi was unlucky not to score in the 27th minute when his rasping shot from just outside the box was brilliantly turned around the post by Adjei.
Isaac Boakye had a good chance to score for Ghana on the hour when he intercepted a poor backpass from Akram Roumani. However, goalkeeper Driss Benzekri denied Boakye with a good save.
Substitute Rachid Rokki selfishly decided to go for glory himself in the 78th minute instead of passing to the unmarked Ramzi.
On the evidence of this uninspiring performance South Africa and Burkina Faso must fancy their chances of progressing to the quarter finals from Group B.
