Theyare Minsili Avebe, Ombassa Sombang, Tienchou Perone and the Libero of the team, Patricia Ngombi Ndolo. Sources close to the federation say that some of the professionals might not join the national team if money is not available on time for their air tickets as they also have club commitments. According to the Secretary General of FECAVOLLEY, Tocko Ekambi, the professionals will join the team immediately money is ready. The only major worry is the departure date that might not be respected.
The absence of money has not killed the moral of the team. According to the captain of the team, Carole Ambatta, the moral of the players is high and the players are physically fit for the competition. Some of the players say they are upbeat and have promised to defend the colours of Cameroon honourably in Nigeria.
