Benin goalkeeper Rachin Chitou had a nightmare as his side fell to a heavy defeat against Morocco.
Marouane Chammakh made him pay early on when he slotted home after the keeper failed to collect a free-kick.
Chitou then palmed his clearance from Youssef Mohktari`s corner off his own defender and into the goal.
Fulham`s Abdeslam Ouaddou struck a third after taking advantage of another fumble before Talal Al-Karkouri`s 40-yard free-kick ended the rout.
The Moroccans would have to lose by seven goals to South Africa in their last group game on Wednesday to miss out on a place in the next round.
Morocco looked the more lively side as Chammakh opened their account in the 17th minute.
It came after a woeful effort by Chitou to collect a Moroccan free-kick.
Chitou`s nightmare continued in the second half as the Atlas Lions scored three times in seven minutes.
The second came in the 73rd minute when Chitou, trying to punch away Mokhtari`s corner, succeeded only in hitting the back of a defender.

He could only watch as the ball ricocheted into the net.
Two minutes later Chitou came off his line but failed to control a Chammakh through-ball giving Ouaddou an open goal and an easy finish.
Chitou then made it a hat-trick of mistakes, diving completely the wrong way for El Karkouri`s free-kick.
The Squirrels only real chance came towards the end of the first half when Moussa Latoundji forced Khalid Fahoumi to dive to his left to save a close range overhead kick.
