Cameroon striker Samuel Eto`o will be kept in hospital overnight for observation after a clash of heads with a team-mate during training on Friday.
Eto`o jumped for a header with young Barcelona defender Damia Abella during a training game and although he did not lose consciousness, he did need to be treated for a cut to his head.
He was transferred to a
nearby hospital where medical staff said a scan showed everything appearing to be normal, the club reported on their website.
Barca doctor Gil Rodas said the player would remain in hospital for observation and be given another test in the morning, when he would be released if all was well.
Barcelona are at home to Real Mallorca in the Primera Liga on Sunday.
