Job eyes comeback (18.11.2003)
Middlesbrough striker Joseph-Desire Job hopes to be ready for a return to first-team action within six weeks.
Cameroon international Job has been out since suffering ligament damage when he twisted his knee in training at the start of October.
"I don`t feel any pain so hopefully in one month I can get back in training," Job told the official Boro website.
"Maybe two weeks after that I`ll be ready to play in the Premier League again."
Job is currently in the final year of his contract
with Boro and wants to get back and prove he merits a new deal.
He added: "This season is really important because after last year I have to confirm that I can keep playing game after game.
"This is the last year of my contract so it`s very important for me in that way as well.
"It`s a little bit early to say what the future holds because you never know in football.
"But I like this club and I`m used to things here. I know everyone and we get on well and that`s a very good feeling."
