Metz look set to call time on the career of veteran Cameroon goalkeeper Jacques Songo`o after they agreed to sign Togo`s Agassa Kossi on Tuesday.
Kossi, who is currently with Ivory Coast giants Club Africain, impressed while on trial at the French club. The only problem over the 23-year-old signing immediately was that he wants to play in the
African Nations Cup next month. This point of view was reinforced by his national federation, who twice refused to release him despite demands from Metz to do so.
Thus Kossi will join up for next term, which will put pressure on Songo`o, who has committed several blunders since he returned to the club from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer.
