Reports in France suggest Metz are set to land Middlesbrough striker Joseph Desire-Job on loan until the end of the season.
The Cameroonian was bought for £3million last summer but has failed to set the Premiership alight, scoring just three goals in his 15
months on Teesside.
Metz President Carlo Molinari said: "Joseph should arrive in the next couple of days."
Job will not be playing for Cameroon in the African Nations Cup and is desperate to play well for Metz and win a place in the Cameroon World Cup squad.
