JFA names squad for Cameroon friendly (15.11.2003)
TOKYO — Parma playmaker Hidetoshi Nakata and Hamburg SV striker Naohiro Takahara are among those named to the 23-man Japan squad for the upcoming Kirin Challenge Cup friendly match against Cameroon, the Japan Football Association (JFA) said Monday.
Also receiving the
overseas call-up was Toshiya Fujita, who made his league debut with FC Utrecht in the Dutch League in August, but Reggina midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura asked to be taken off the list for the Nov 19 match at Oita Stadium Big Eye as he will be nursing his lower back and knee. (Kyodo News)
