Morocco`s Raja Casablanca will take a two-goal lead to Cameroon later this month for the second leg of the Caf Cup final after a 2-0 victory over Cotonsport in the first leg.
Mustapha Bidouane and Senegal`s Mohamed Ali Diallo scored on either side of the break to set up Raja`s first leg advantage.
Bidouane ran between the Cotonsport defenders to convert a quick free kick in the 11th minute while Diallo profited from poor goalkeeping to score with a header at the back post in the 71st minute.
Diallo`s goal was
setup by Hicham Aboucherouane, the leading goal scorer in the competition, who provided the cross with his first touch of the ball after coming on as a substitute.
Aboucherouane had only just returned to Morocco for the match, after trials in Qatar.
The two sides will now meet in Garoua on 23 November for the second leg decider.
This is the last year of the Caf Cup in its present form. Next year it will be combined with the Cup Winners` Cup into a new competition to be called the Confederation Cup.
