Djemba-Djemba gets warning
Cameroon`s Eric Djemba-Djemba has been told by his agent to desist from making negative remarks about his club manager.
Djemba-Djemba was reported to have hit out at David O`Leary, his manager at Aston Villa, over the tactics he was employing in the ongoing English Premiership campaign.
"Eric is contracted to Villa and therefore must respect the coach," said Christophe Mongal.
"What he said was caused by the frustration of not playing but you cannot criticise the manager."
Although O`Leary accepted Djemba-Djemba`s explanation that he was misquoted, it appears the midfielder has only a bit-part to play in his future plans.
He has not started a game this season and has failed to make the substitute`s bench.
Mongal ruled out any possible transfer happening in January as Djemba-Djemba will travel to Egypt for the African Cup of Nations.
"It will be very difficult for us to find another club in January because of the tournament in Africa," Mongal said.
"Eric is very disappointed not to be playing for Villa - especially as he is not even on the bench.
"But to move in the next transfer window is not something we can really look at and therefore he must accept that he will be at Villa until the end of the season."
